Arriving by train
Another option is to travel by train, either without a car or even with a car on the DB Autozug:
E.g. a train to the ferry / to the ferry port e.g. in Germany and from there by ferry to Sweden (Malmö, Ystad or Trelleborg) or you can even take the train directly to Malmö (Sweden).
An alternative is often the train to Copenhagen (Denmark), from there you can easily take the shuttle train to Malmö (Sweden) over the Öresund Bridge.
The train is also a good alternative today, e.g. a group that is already in the south of Sweden in the summer house or if you want to avoid a longer drive and e.g. need more freedom of movement during the journey.
In principle there is the possibility
– either directly by train to the ferry ports e.g. to drive in Germany, get off there and take the ferry directly as a pedestrian to Sweden (Trelleborg, Ystad or Malmö), where you will be picked up by those who are already in the summer house, for example,
– or you take the train from Germany to Sweden (Malmö), where you will be picked up by those who are already in the summer house and who may have already taken some of the luggage with them. Often better train connections are offered to Copenhagen (Denmark), from there you can easily get to Malmö (Sweden) by shuttle train.
There is another alternative, namely the car train, i.e. so that you have your own car with you, you don’t have to cover the entire distance yourself at the car tax, but you sit / lie comfortably in the train that carries the car “piggyback”. So in Sweden you always have your own car with you.
If you are traveling without your own car, you can simply rent a car in Sweden, so you are completely flexible at all times.
